The annual BWA fall meeting took place on Sept 13, 2025.  We talked through Board elections, key dates, financials update, tournament feedback, membership, and rule changes.

Here are a couple of key highlights:

• Re-elected Dominic McEwen (Midview) as President

• Re-elected Mike Turosvsky (Westlake) as VP of Membership

• Re-elected Justin Eckert (Riverside) as Treasurer

• Key dates:

  • Individual Team Joining deadline - Friday Oct 2 , 2026

  • First competition - Nov 29, 2026 (could start earlier if you'd like)

  • BWA Dual Tournament hosted by Kenston (contact Jeff Varney if interested)

  • All Girls event @JCU - Jan 10, 2027

  • Sectionals - Jan 24 or 31, 2027 

  • League Championship – Feb 7, 2027 (Looking at Canton Civic Center)

• No new rule changes this year

• 1 new Division of teams added this year (Highland) bringing our total teams to 121
