Wednesday - February 4, 2026

The BWA board has met regarding the incident at the North Olmsted sectional on 2/1/26.  After investigation including conversations with several individuals at the event along with the surfaced video, the board has determined the following:

  • Will Dies will be sentenced a lifetime ban from all Buckeye Wrestling Association events including as a spectator.

  • The Brecksville team will be put on probation which will include a zero tolerance policy on any incidents over the next year.

  • The referee involved will be pulled from refereeing the two remaining BWA events for the season for his safety.

We are embarrassed by this incident and it does not represent the goals and values of the Buckeye Wrestling Association.  We apologize to those kids/parents that may have been negatively affected by this incident.
